I am in my 2nd year as a 4th grade teacher at Andover Elementary School in Andover, MN. I graduated from the University of Mary in December 2021 and received a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. I am very passionate about teaching and am excited to see where this career takes me in the future! I know that teaching is my career path since I love working with children. I am currently located in the Twin Cities area where I plan to teach for the next years to come!
I am from a small town, Fosston, Minnesota where I was very involved with my community such as sports, student council, youth group, nannying, my job, and extra activities through my school. My hobbies include traveling, hiking, skiing, ice skating, painting, being with family and friends, being at the lake, and being with my dogs. I love spending time with the people I love and making memories with them! I also love spending time with my sister, Carly, who has special needs and Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. She has such an impact on me and has helped me find my love in working with children and those who have special needs and disabilities.
My students built a snowman right outside my window!

Enjoying the snowy recess!
Since I have grown up in a small town, I would love to travel around to see more diversity and learn from others and their cultures. I have traveled with the University of Mary to England, where we had the opportunity to tour the country for a month. I also have visited many states and I would love to visit them all! In the future, my dream is to travel as much as I can, while teaching in different places and to learn from my own students about different cultures, traditions, and perspectives.
